MONETS AND OLD MASTERS

Talking of originals. I like many art styles that have emerged over the years. Including “The Impressionists” such as Monet. To be able to purchase one of his works with a wife and 3 kids to support was always beyond my budget. So, I decided to paint my own.

This I have done. I now have a Monet, two Sisley’s and a Pissarro “look a likes.” Arrived at through visits to the museum’s that house them. Then a study of each picture to observe the underpainting techniques and placement of brush stroke as applied by the painters.

These are not offered as forgeries, but original copies with full credit to the original artists skills and vision. I’ve added my bit including an ageing process and reproduction of “bills of shipping” etc applied to the back of the painting for historical interest. Each comes with a certificate of authenticity that “This is a 100% genuine 21st Century copy of the original painted by Monet or Pissarro or Sisley in the 19th – 20th Century.”

See if you can spot the difference. More pictures under “Impressionist Look Alikes”.
